Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Privacy Governance Senior Manager to lead a team of privacy engineers, build and advance the privacy engineering program, and ensure compliant, scalable privacy practices across the enterprise.

You will oversee CMP operations, cookie governance, and privacy library maintenance while partnering with privacy legal, data strategy, engineering, and product teams to embed privacy-by-design into development lifecycles and onboarding of brands/acquired entities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 8+ years in privacy or related field.
• Experience operating within or leading a privacy compliance program.
• Working knowledge of U.S. state privacy regulations.
• Experience with consent management platforms, cookie governance, and web tracking compliance.
• Technical understanding of web tracking technologies including tag management systems and consent signal architecture.
• Strong cross-functional communication and program management skills.
• Willingness to travel 10%+ of the time.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of privacy engineers focusing on CMP operations and cookie governance.
• Oversee privacy technology stack including CMP, tag management, cookie scanning, and privacy library maintenance.
• Partner with Privacy Legal, Data Strategy, Engineering and Product to align privacy practices with regulatory requirements.
• Drive onboarding of brands and acquisitions into centralized privacy program.
• Translate technical privacy concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
