Job summary

7-Eleven, Inc. seeks a Senior Director, Chief Privacy Officer to lead privacy, data protection, governance, and AI governance within a global retail enterprise.

This role partners with Legal, IT, Compliance, and business units to embed Privacy by Design and responsible data practices, shaping enterprise strategy across many teams. The CPO will oversee regulatory compliance, risk assessments, and incident response, ensuring privacy controls align with global standards and evolving AI frameworks

Qualifications

• JD with admission to practice law in a major jurisdiction.
• 10+ years leading privacy, data protection, compliance, cybersecurity, or tech-law programs.
• Deep knowledge of US and international privacy laws incl. GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and emerging AI regs.
• Experience building AI governance and responsible innovation programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and advance enterprise privacy, data protection, and governance programs.
• Ensure compliance with privacy, cybersecurity, data protection, and AI regulations.
• Oversee data lifecycle, retention, transfer, and deletion practices.
• Partner with Legal, Procurement, Information Security, and business teams on governance.
