Job summary

7-Eleven, Inc. is seeking a visionary Chief Privacy Officer to lead privacy, data protection, governance, AI governance, and records retention across the enterprise.

You will partner with Legal, IT, Information Security, and various business teams to embed Privacy by Design and responsible data practices globally. The role requires JD and 10+ years in privacy and technology law, with strong leadership, communication, and strategic thinking to guide executive decision-making and risk management.

Qualifications

• JD required from an accredited law school.
• 10+ years of experience in privacy, data protection, compliance, cybersecurity, or technology law with enterprise leadership responsibility.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. and international privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, etc.) and emerging AI regulations.
• Experience developing and implementing AI governance frameworks and responsible AI programs.
• Strong ability to influence stakeholders and drive risk-based decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise privacy, data protection, governance, and records management programs.
• Ensure compliance with global privacy, cybersecurity, data protection, and AI regulations.
• Oversee data lifecycle management, AI data impact reviews, and regulatory reporting.
• Establish privacy policies, standards, and governance frameworks; co-chair cross-functional governance committees.
• Serve as privacy and data-protection lead on the enterprise AI Governance Council.
