Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) seeks an experienced Principal/Sr. Principal Systems Engineer to support a program out of Fairfax, VA or Linthicum, MD.

The role covers system engineering, integration, verification, and validation across all life-cycle stages, interfacing with customers and subcontractors to deliver robust, compliant solutions. The position requires TS/SCI clearance, strong communication skills, and expertise in requirements management using tools like DOORS and Cameo.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience; 3 years with a Master's; 0 years with a PhD
• Proven experience with ground systems engineering.
• Experience with requirements engineering, verification and validation, and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
• Experience working with customers and subcontractors.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance at time of application and willingness to sit for a polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Perform system engineering, integration, verification and validation for total systems.
• Translate customer or product requirements into total systems solutions within constraints.
• Interface with program and customer personnel as required.
• Maintain and update procedures; develop new procedures as needed.
