Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal/Sr Principal Systems Engineer in California to lead system engineering activities across a large program. The role requires DoD Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret, strong MBSE, SysML, and tool experience (MATLAB, C/C++, Cameo, Rhapsody, DOORS).

You will collaborate with IPTs, develop requirements, conduct risk analyses, and contribute to model-based systems engineering across a System of Systems.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency in analytical thinking, problem solving skills and systems thinking mindset.
• Active DoD Secret clearance; ability to obtain Top Secret.
• Experience with model-based systems engineering and MBSE tools.

Responsibilities

• Understand and apply the systems engineering lifecycle: requirements, design, integration, test, and verification.
• Lead technical solutions and reviews; develop solutions for complex problems.
• Work under general direction; develop approaches; support defect analysis and path forwards.
• Contribute to Change Proposal Development, Risk Management and Opportunity analysis.
• Interact with internal teams and external customers on technical issues.
• Collaborate with IPT to develop rigorous systems engineering artifacts.
• Develop design for large System of Systems programs.
• Develop and ensure system requirements are well represented in models.
• Contribute to system requirements development, management and performance analysis.
• Develop unifying modeling techniques, processes for MBSE and tool integration.
