Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems seeks a Principal/Senior Principal Systems Test Engineer for the Sentinel (GBSD) program in Roy, UT. The role focuses on developing test solutions, planning, and execution for complex hardware-in-the-loop systems, coordinating with multiple engineering teams to meet schedule and budget constraints.

Required experience includes guidance/navigation/controls for launch systems, strong MATLAB/Simulink, C/C++, Python skills, and a DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in guidance, navigation, or control algorithm development and/or flight/trajectory analysis for launch vehicles, missiles, spacecraft, and/or aircraft applications
• Collaborate with multiple engineering teams to define test objectives and requirements for test activities in a hardware in the loop lab
• Working knowledge of system integration (HW and SW) and test principles
• Experience in sensor navigation and guidance algorithms
• Experience with data collection/instrumentation and test reports

Responsibilities

• Develop customer contractual needs and requirements into test solutions within schedule and cost constraints
• Develop and direct preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules
• Coordinate with stakeholders to identify test objectives, requirements, and risks
• Oversee test activities in support of verification and validation
• Prepare test planning team charters and coordinate with Quality for test support
• Contribute to test readiness reviews and test procedure execution
