Job summary

Applied Signal Technology (AST) seeks an Sr Principal Systems Engineer / ICT Lead to guide the Integrated Capability Team across contracts and projects. You will lead multi-contract development, drive quality, and oversee lifecycle engineering from concept to delivery.

You will partner with managers across Engineering, perform technical leadership, and ensure successful outcomes while balancing costs and schedules in a dynamic defense environment.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• Minimum 8–10 years of software engineering leadership experience.
• Experience in telecom, data/wireless communications, networking or DSP.

Responsibilities

• Lead full product development lifecycle for existing products and new capabilities.
• Ensure development activities meet cost, schedule and technical requirements.
• Participate in design reviews of new work and enhancements.
• Market ICT products to existing and new customers.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams.
• Maintain quality and configuration management of software products.
