Applied Signal Technology (AST) in Salt Lake City, UT is hiring a Sr Principal Systems Engineer / ICT Lead to drive end-to-end product development for high-assurance SIGINT solutions. Onsite role with potential travel to other AST sites and customer sites in the U.S.

The position requires a STEM degree with 10+ years of software/systems leadership, strong communication, and the ability to navigate complex programs within the defense sector. TS/SCI with polygraph eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven leadership in software engineering across the full lifecycle.
• Experience with telecom/data/wireless systems and networking concepts.
• Ability to manage project cost, schedule, and technical integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead full product development lifecycle and multiple contracts.
• Ensure costs, schedule and technical requirements are met.
• Participate in reviews for new work and enhancements.
• Market ICT products to existing and new customers.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams.
• Maintain quality and configuration management across software products.
