Applied Signal Technology (AST) seeks a Senior Principal Infrastructure / Networking Engineer in Anaheim to drive design, development and deployment of high-capacity systems. You will work with experienced engineers on SIGINT-focused projects and present key results to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with system development for multiple programs.
• Proficient in Python or similar scripting languages.
• Hands-on Linux experience, especially Red Hat.
• System administration experience.
• Experience with enterprise networking equipment (Cisco/Arista/Juniper).
• Experience with virtualization (KVM/VMware/Hyper-V).
• Knowledge of TCP/IP and UDP networking.
• Experience with Puppet, Ansible, Salt.
• Experience designing and deploying networks/data centers.
• Ability to verify and validate software and systems.
• Teamwork and independent work capability.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain polygraph; US citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Guide design, development, testing and delivery of high-capacity systems.
• Collaborate with R&D on system development and deployments.
• Prepare briefings and present material to team, customers, and management.
• Communicate effectively and work autonomously within a team.
• Travel up to 25% to other AST locations / customer sites.
