Job summary

Applied Signal Technology (AST) seeks a Principal Systems Engineer to lead and contribute across RF, antenna, and signal processing projects that strengthen national security. You will work hands-on with customers, senior management, and cross-functional teams to define objectives and deliver robust solutions.

This onsite role in Salt Lake City, UT requires extensive systems engineering experience and an active TS clearance.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
• Extensive Systems Engineering experience including design, development and testing of complex hardware and software systems.
• Experience with RF and antenna systems development and high-capacity signal tracking systems.
• Experience with systems integration, test execution, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and consult on products and programs, provide systems engineering on new and existing products.
• Engage with customers, program managers, and cross-discipline staff to define objectives and develop solutions.
• Lead R&D projects and advanced technology exploration, including concept development and evaluation.
• Interact with customers to define scope and serve as liaison within the company.
