Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, seeks a Senior Principal Systems Engineer to lead full lifecycle ground and airborne system development. You will serve as a senior SME, oversee lab activities, ensure scalable modeling interfaces, and support solution integration in target environments.

Collaborate with IPTs to drive cost/schedule planning and manage design reviews and testing gates. The role requires extensive integration/test experience, EVMS knowledge, and a STEM background with 7–10+ years

Qualifications

• Strong integration and test experience including test procedure development, test execution, test reporting, and test automation.
• Knowledge of or application of EVMS.
• Proficient in tooling to include Jira, IBM EWM, etc.
• STEM degree and minimum 10 years or Advanced Degree with minimum 7 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee developed full lifecycle solutions from CONOPS to validation.
• Act as SME within discipline with advanced to expert knowledge.
• Oversee lab activities: setup, configuration management, testing.
• Ensure interfaces use a scalable ontology and support integration.
• Coach and delegate work to lower-level professionals.
• Contribute to discipline goals, cost and schedule planning.
• Influence policies, practices, and procedures.
• Manage moderately sized projects or processes.
• Oversee design reviews, integration, and testing exit criteria.
• Review and document major changes to solve complex problems.
• Analyze and document system behaviors.
