Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ, is seeking a Senior Principal Engineer to lead the architecture, analysis, design, and implementation of RF subsystems and sensors for missile products. The role requires technical oversight, mentoring, and collaboration with government personnel and program leadership, onsite in Tucson.

You will guide technology roadmaps, enable modernization, and drive innovation across RF disciplines while ensuring security clearance prerequisites are met for start.

Qualifications

• Master of Science degree in Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
• A minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience, or a PhD in a related field with 7+ years.
• Experience designing, integrating, and testing RF subsystems or RF sensors.

Responsibilities

• Specify, design, and test RF sensors and subsystems from MHz to mmWave.
• Decompose system requirements into RF subsystem requirements.
• Measure RF components and subsystems in chamber and range environments.
• Model and analyze link budgets, RF cascades, EMI/EMV, antenna patterns, and ADCs.
