Job summary

Raytheon in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Principal Engineer to join the Effector RF Team to design, analyze, and implement RF subsystems and sensors for missile products, working across MHz to millimeter-wave frequencies. This onsite role requires leading small teams, interfacing with government personnel and program leadership, and helping establish technology roadmaps, modernization, and innovation.

Security clearance required to start.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in RF subsystems/sensors design, integration, or test.
• Ability to obtain interim U.S. government clearance prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Specify, design, and test RF sensors and subsystems across frequencies from MHz through millimeter-wave.
• Decompose system requirements into detailed RF subsystem requirements.
• Measure RF components/sensors/subsystems in chamber and range environments.
• Model and analyze link budgets, RF cascades, EME, antenna patterns, phase noise and related RF metrics.
