Job summary

RTX is seeking a Sr. Manager, Systems Engineering – Advanced Technology System Engineering Section Lead in Tucson, AZ, onsite. You will supervise 10–15 engineers, drive teamwork, and support captures and projects while growing the workforce.

You will guide complex system engineering efforts for missile programs, with leadership responsibilities and opportunities for technical growth in a collaborative environment. Relocation may be considered.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 10 years of prior relevant experience.
• System Engineering experience on missile applications for customer programs.
• Experience working with missile systems requirements, interfaces, or architecture development and management
• Technical and/or functional Engineering leadership experience.
• An advanced degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision to a team of engineers working on Advanced Technology programs.
• Guide the team toward achieving departmental goals and support key business captures.
• Participate in talent acquisition, goal setting, and performance development for assigned staff.
• Ensure direct reports have suitable work assignments and growth opportunities.
• Support the team as an individual contributor to enhance technical skills.
