Job summary

RTX's Processing, Guidance and Controls Center in Tucson seeks a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer – RF Signal Processing to lead RF algorithm design, modeling and signal processing development onsite.

You will develop, test and integrate RF processing techniques across programs, mentor teammates, and drive performance improvements in a fast-paced defense environment. You have a strong background in RF signal processing, C/C++ or OO languages, and experience leading technical teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 10+ years in engineering.
• RF signal processing experience in RF domain.
• Experience with C, or OO languages such as C++, C#, or Java.
• Experience with algorithm design, implementation, analysis, testing, optimization.
• Experience leading others in an engineering environment.
• Ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance before start date.

Responsibilities

• Act as a signal processing SME and technical/functional leader for complex programs.
• Use and modify simulations for RF algorithm design, prototyping, and testing.
• Test, verify, and validate RF models in lab and field environments.
• Contribute across development phases from startup to live-fire testing with reviews.
• Oversee a technical team, mentor engineers, and manage engineering projects.
