Job summary

RTX's Processing, Guidance and Controls Center in Tucson, AZ, seeks a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer – RF Signal Processing to lead RF algorithm design, development, integration and performance assessment.

You will work across labs and live-fire environments, mentoring engineers and guiding technical reviews. The role requires a STEM degree and 10+ years experience in RF signal processing, with strong C/C++ skills, MATLAB, Python, and modern DevOps tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
• Signal processing experience in RF domain
• Experience with programming languages such as C, C++, C#, or Java
• Ability to obtain and maintain Interim Secret U.S. government security clearance

Responsibilities

• Act as a signal processing SME and lead complex program objectives
• Develop, prototype, and test RF algorithms and models
• Test and validate RF models and signal processing in lab and field environments
• Lead development reviews and coordinate with other engineering teams
• Mentor engineers and oversee technical projects
