Job summary

RTX in US-MA-TEWKSBURY seeks a Senior Principal Electrical Engineer with RF/Microwave system expertise and AESA design experience. You will work on CCAs, and integrate phased array hardware while supporting production.

The role requires a strong academic background and ten years of relevant RF/microwave experience; travel to integration sites may be required, and security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of ten years of prior relevant experience.
• Microwave/RF system, subsystem and component analysis, design and test.
• Experience with electromagnetic simulation tools such as HFSS, ADS, CST, Mentor Graphics' Xpedition and analytical tools such as Matlab.
• Background designing and testing analog CCAs, including frequency conversion, automatic gain control, amplifier design and analog filter design.
• Understanding of allocating and flowing down requirements from the system to the component level.

Responsibilities

• Design and hands-on testing of microwave components, cards and systems.
• Team leadership skills including cost and schedule management plus proposal writing and presentation experience are desired.
• Design of RF microwave components and phased array applications.
• Integration and test of component level and system level phased array hardware.
• Lead roles dependent on experience and career goals.
