Job summary

Intelletec is a specialist technical recruitment firm delivering across software engineering, AI/ML, data and infrastructure roles in the US. We offer a fully remote environment and a structured progression for Principal Consultants who start on a 180/270 desk and grow to a full 360 role, managing client relationships and delivering hires end to end.

You will source, screen and place senior technologists, build pipelines, and advise on market rates and hiring strategies.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of agency recruitment experience, ideally within technology.
• Proven billing track record and drive to hit numbers.
• Experience on a 360 desk, or 180/270 background with business development.
• Strong technical curiosity to converse with engineers and leaders.
• Comfort working remotely with self discipline and high ownership.
• Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Run searches end-to-end across engineering, AI/ML, data and infrastructure roles.
• Source, screen and assess technical talent with depth; build pipelines.
• Manage offers and counteroffers and act as trusted advisor to candidates.
• Deliver compelling candidate submissions that hiring managers trust.

Intelletec is a specialist technical recruitment firm, founded in 2012 and built on long term client partnerships rather than transactional hiring. We are headquartered in Los Angeles but operate nationally across the US.

Our technology practice partners with some of the most exciting startup and scale-up companies in AI, fintech, and more, from venture backed startups scaling their first engineering teams to established public companies. We recruit across software engineering, AI/ML, data, infrastructure, go to market and executive search.

The Role

We are hiring a Principal Consultant within our technology practice. You will start on a 180 or 270 desk, delivering into established accounts from day one, and grow into a full 360 role as you build your business development and client management skills.

As your desk grows, you will win new business, manage client relationships and deliver hires end to end, with the freedom to build your own accounts. We will back you with the clients, coaching and structure to make that step, and if you already run a 360 desk, we would love to hear from you too

Delivery

• Run searches end to end across engineering, AI/ML, data and infrastructure roles, from intake through to offer and start date
• Source, screen and assess technical talent with real depth, building pipelines through direct outreach, referrals and your network
• Act as a trusted advisor to candidates, managing expectations, offers and counteroffers with care
• Produce clear, compelling candidate submissions that hiring managers trust

Business development and account management

• Grow existing accounts by expanding into new teams, roles and hiring managers
• Win new clients through targeted outreach, referrals and market mapping
• Run intake meetings, advise on market rates, team structure and hiring strategy, and negotiate terms
• Build long term relationships with founders, CTOs, engineering leaders and talent teams

What We Are Looking For

• 4+ years of agency recruitment experience, ideally within technology
• A proven billing track record and a clear understanding of what drives your numbers
• Experience on a 360 desk, or a 180/270 background with real appetite to take on business development
• Strong technical curiosity: you can hold credible conversations with engineers and engineering leaders
• Comfort working remotely with self discipline, structure and high ownership
• Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills

Nice to have

• A network within AI/ML, infrastructure, fintech or enterprise software
• Experience recruiting in the US market
• Exposure to retained or executive search
