People in AI is hiring experienced agency recruiters to join our NYC team. This full‑time, in‑office role offers base salary up to $100,000 with uncapped commission and an OTE of $250,000+.

You will manage the full 360 recruitment process, from client brief to candidate close, focusing on AI, data, and engineering talent across North America. We seek recruiters with 2+ years of agency experience, capable of building client relationships, delivering high‑quality candidates, and driving revenue.

Full‑time, in‑office | 26 Broadway, New York City

Base salary up to $100,000 + uncapped commission

$250,000+ OTE

People in AI is hiring experienced agency recruiters to join our NYC team. We specialize in AI, machine learning and engineering recruitment across North America, working with companies backed by venture capital and private equity.

We’re looking for recruiters with 2+ years of experience, and we’re open to more established senior recruiters. The scope and seniority of the role will reflect your experience and track record.

You’ll join a specialist business with strong client relationships, substantial placement fees and significant investment in the tools our recruiters use.

• Established client demand. Nearly all our business comes inbound through our reputation and visibility. You’ll work with incoming opportunities and existing relationships, while developing accounts and winning business of your own.
• Strong earning potential. We recruit for highly paid, specialist roles where successful placements generate substantial fees. Commission is uncapped and linked to the revenue you generate.
• Ownership of your market. Manage the full 360 recruitment process: develop clients, take detailed briefs, identify candidates, manage interviews, negotiate offers and close placements. Build expertise in your area and relationships that lead to repeat business.
• Work directly with the founders. You’ll be involved in client strategy, search delivery and discussions about how we grow the business. We welcome ideas from people doing the work. More experienced hires can also contribute to mentoring and developing the team.
• Technology and support. Custom AI agents, ChatGPT Business connected to our recruitment database, AI sourcing tools and full LinkedIn Recruiter RPS+ licenses. We use Google Workspace and Slack, with automated finance and commission workflows to reduce administration.
• A track record of placements and revenue generation within agency recruitment, ideally in technology, AI, data, engineering or another specialist market.
• Experience developing client relationships and converting opportunities into business.
• Strong candidate qualification and process management, including clear conversations about motivation, compensation, competing processes and potential obstacles.
• Good commercial judgment, reliable follow‑through and the ability to work independently while contributing to the wider team.

You should be comfortable running a search, advising clients and candidates, and taking responsibility for the outcome. We value thorough screening, honest advice and consistent communication.

Our team works in person at 26 Broadway, in Manhattan’s Financial District.
