Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Project Management / Sr Principal Project Management to join our Edwards, CA team. You will oversee and manage the operational aspects of projects, liaising between program management and planning, with responsibilities spanning budgets, schedules, and status reporting.

The role requires EVMS/AGILE experience, strong proposal development skills, and a current Secret DoD clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 2years of Project Management experience, or master’s degree and 0 years of relevant experience, OR High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) and at least 10 years of relevant job experience may be considered
• Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and AGILE
• Experience in proposal operations and development, including Basis of Estimates and historical data analysis
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Must be familiar with risk development and mitigation plans
• Must have an active Secret DoD clearance with ability to maintain that clearance. Have the ability to obtain and retain Special Program access clearance within 365 days from submission is a condition of employment

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between program management and planning, project team, and line management.
• Review status of projects and budgets; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives.
• Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with program managers, line managers, and clients.
• Lead capture efforts to secure new or re-compete contracts, or task order business; develops capture strategy and identifies customers, competitive assessments, and prices-to-win.
