Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. (JP) in Sunnyvale, CA, is seeking a Senior Principal Project Manager to oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects, acting as a liaison among project management, planning, the project team, and line management.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with extensive project management experience or a higher degree with corresponding experience, excellent communication, and the ability to obtain/maintain a US Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8 years of project/program management experience or Master’s with 6 years relevant experience or PhD with 4 years relevant experience.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and comfortable speaking in a group environment with the customer.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
• US citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as a liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
• Review status of projects and budgets; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
• Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
• Coordinate with Global Supply Chain and other NG organizations to support spares, repairs, and life-cycle activities.
