Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Utah is seeking a Principal/Sr Principal Project Manager to drive execution on complex defense programs. You will interface across Logistics Support and coordinate with program leaders, delivering performance against schedule and budget while communicating with senior leadership.

You will apply MBSE practices, develop SOPs for program events, and lead cross-functional teams with minimal direction in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience; master's degree and 3 years’ experience; PhD and 1 year’s experience or an additional 4 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least 1 year of experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance.
• Demonstrated track record/ experience in project management/ execution and closeout.
• Skilled use of Microsoft Office Products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project).
• Demonstrated knowledge of Project Management principles.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Integrate and manage between program Segments and supporting functional teams by performing tactical day to day operations.
• Performing work related to planning, monitoring, and controlling work scope within your assigned program area.
• Review status of projects and budget, manage schedules, assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
• Develop mechanisms for monitoring and reporting project progress and for intervention and problem solving with senior management and managers.
• Generating Change Control Board packages and Budget Change Requests in coordination with CAMs and WPLs and support briefings to the appropriate review boards.
