Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in San Diego, CA is seeking a Principal/Sr. Principal Project Manager to support the Fighter Network Systems operating unit.

This onsite role requires a DoD Secret clearance and US citizenship, and offers opportunities to lead IPTs, manage budgets, and deliver critical defense programs. You will coordinate with program management, technical leads, and stakeholders; prepare executive-level reports, monitor cost and schedule baselines, and drive process

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years’ or master’s with 3 years of relevant project management experience.
• Experience supporting U.S. Government contracts or project management activities.
• Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project, and data analysis for reporting.
• Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
• US Citizenship and active DoD Secret clearance (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Liaise between client Program management and IPT leads; prepare status reports.
• Ensure quality, compliant, and on-time deliverables; manage budgets and schedules.
• Support risk and opportunity management and process improvements.
• Maintain meeting records and track action items to closure.
• Adhere to contract scope and manage changes through governance.
