Job summary

Chelsea Search Group is seeking a Senior/Principal Physical Design Engineer in a primarily remote role serving customers across the United States. You will drive physical implementation for complex ASICs from RTL to GDSII, including floorplanning, CTS, placement, routing, and timing closure.

The role collaborates with RTL, verification, DFT, analog/mixed-signal, packaging, and other teams, using Fusion Compiler and Calibre to achieve robust PPA and signoff.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of ASIC/SoC design experience.
• BSEE/MSEE or equivalent.
• Strong RTL digital IC design with Verilog/SystemVerilog.
• Proficient with Fusion Compiler and Calibre for physical design.
• Experience leading teams and driving design signoff.

Responsibilities

• Own physical implementation from RTL to GDSII and tapeout.
• Develop floorplans, CTS, routing, and timing closure.
• Collaborate with RTL, verification, DFT, and analog/mixed-signal teams.
• Mentor engineers and improve design flows and automation.
• Support design signoff and tapeout readiness.
