Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. in Redondo Beach, CA is seeking a Senior Principal Engineer Mechanical to join Space Systems.

This in-person role requires interaction with program management, systems engineering, flight hardware design, and logistics to build and test flight hardware at all levels. Qualifications include a STEM degree with many years of related experience and an active Top-Secret SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a STEM discipline plus 8 years of related engineering experience, or a Master’s degree with 6 years of related experience.
• Active Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance with in-scope SSBI and an active CI Polygraph at time of application.
• Extensive experience with space vehicle mechanical systems, testing and manufacturing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Design tests to verify system requirements and drive producibility in all phases of the work package.
• Coordinate across multiple technical disciplines to define operations and accomplish work efficiently.
• Oversee procurement, manufacturing, integration, test and delivery for work packages with cost/schedule responsibility and technical excellence.
