Job summary

Stratus Team LLC is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer in Miami to lead complex electrical design and project management efforts. You will guide a multidisciplinary MEP team, oversee detailed drawings and calculations, and ensure regulatory compliance throughout major projects.

You will mentor junior engineers, drive technical excellence, and collaborate with architects and contractors to integrate electrical systems into overall designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in ABET-accredited engineering.
• 10–15 years of electrical engineering design and project management experience.
• Strong leadership and mentorship skills.
• Ability to lead large-scale projects and communicate complex concepts to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of complex engineering projects.
• Provide leadership and oversight for a multidisciplinary team of MEP engineers.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, calculations, and reports ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Serve as the primary technical expert on projects and resolve design challenges.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote technical excellence across the team.
• Conduct quality control reviews at key milestones.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and consultants for integrated designs.
• Oversee construction administration tasks and on-site technical issues.
• Participate in client meetings and presentations with technical input.
• Stay updated with industry advancements and new materials.
