Job summary

Stratus® is seeking a Principal Engineer (PE) to provide senior technical leadership on major engineering projects. The role focuses on design, analysis, and construction, guiding project teams and serving as the firm’s subject matter expert.

Lead multidisciplinary collaboration to ensure regulatory compliance and client satisfaction. You will mentor junior engineers, oversee design integrity, and contribute to proposals and client presentations while embracing a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• 10–15 years of engineering design and project management experience.
• Strong leadership and mentorship skills.
• Ability to lead large-scale engineering projects and provide expert-level guidance.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of complex engineering projects, providing expert technical guidance to project teams.
• Provide leadership for a multidisciplinary team of MEP engineers.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, calculations, and technical reports, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Serve as primary technical expert on projects, resolving design challenges and ensuring sound solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers to foster growth and technical excellence across the team.
• Conduct quality control reviews at key milestones to ensure accuracy and adherence to goals.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and consultants for integrated designs.
• Oversee construction administration tasks, including submittals and site visits.
• Participate in client meetings and presentations to convey technical details and project status.
• Stay current with industry advancements and new materials to enhance designs.
• Support business development with proposals and client presentations.
