Job summary

Stratus is seeking a Principal Engineer to provide senior technical leadership on major projects in Miami, FL. You will lead design, analysis, and construction while guiding a multidisciplinary MEP team and ensuring client satisfaction and regulatory compliance.

As a senior technical expert, you will mentor junior engineers, review drawings and calculations, and collaborate with architects and contractors to deliver integrated engineering solutions across sectors.

Qualifications

Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
10–15 years of engineering design and project management experience.
Strong leadership and mentorship skills for guiding junior engineers.

Responsibilities

Lead design and development of complex engineering projects with expert guidance.
Provide leadership for a multidisciplinary team of engineers.
Prepare detailed drawings, calculations, and reports to meet standards.
Serve as primary technical expert, resolving complex design challenges.
Mentor junior engineers to grow technical excellence.
Conduct quality control reviews at milestones to ensure precision.
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and consultants for integrated designs.
Oversee construction administration activities and site visits.
Participate in client meetings and presentations with technical input.
Stay current with industry advancements and apply new solutions.
