We are seeking a Principal Design Engineer (Level V) to design composite and metallic components, integrate hardware, and produce controlled engineering documentation for aerospace hardware. The role invites SME leadership, collaboration across teams, and engagement with suppliers and customers.

Qualifications

• Requires BS degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Aeronautical/Aerospace) or equivalent.
• 15+ years related experience in aerospace engineering.
• 3+ years of lead engineer experience in the aerospace industry.

Responsibilities

• Design components manufactured from composite and metallic materials and develop mechanical fluid systems.
• Prepare CAD drawings, specifications, parts lists, and interface control documents using CAD tools (CATIA/3DX).
• Apply GD&T, perform tolerance studies and define drawing requirements for affordable designs.
• Support testing, troubleshooting, flight testing, data reduction and reporting.

Education

BS degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Aeronautical/Aerospace) or equivalent
