Job summary

Kratos Unmanned Aerial Systems (KUAS), a division of Kratos Defense, is seeking a Principal Design Engineer (Level V) to lead mechanical design for jet-powered unmanned aerial systems. You will design components from composite and metallic materials, develop fluid systems, and integrate hardware into tight assemblies.

Responsibilities include drafting controlled documentation, applying GD&T, and presenting design reviews to suppliers and customers.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance studies.
• Proficient in CAD design and documentation using CATIA/3DX.
• Experience with PLM systems and configuration control.

Responsibilities

• Design components from composite and metallic materials for aerospace applications.
• Develop mechanical fluid systems and integrate hardware into complex assemblies.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, parts lists and ICDs with CAD documentation.
• Support design reviews with suppliers and internal customers.
• Ensure design objectives meet schedule and cost targets.
