Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. is seeking a senior mechanical/structures design engineer for KUAS. You will design composite and metallic components, develop fluid systems, and integrate hardware into complex assemblies for aerospace applications.

The role requires 15+ years in engineering, 3+ years leading aerospace projects, and proficiency in CATIA/3DX. Travel is possible; on-site work in California with Kratos KUAS.

Qualifications

• Requires BS degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Aeronautical/Aerospace preferred) or equivalent.
• 15+ years related experience in related engineering discipline.
• 3+ years lead engineer experience in the aerospace industry.

Responsibilities

• Designs components from composite and metallic materials.
• Develops mechanical fluid systems for routing liquids/gases and integrates hardware into assemblies.
• Prepares CAD drawings, specs and parts lists for aerospace hardware (CATIA/3DX).
• Applies GD&T and tolerance studies to provide practical designs.
• Supports flight testing, data reduction, analysis, and reporting.
