Job summary

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical/Structures Engineer to design components from composite and metallic materials and to integrate hardware into complex assemblies. The role involves creating formal documentation, CAD models (Catia, 3DX), GD&T, and supporting testing and design reviews.

The position emphasizes collaboration, mentoring, and contribution to business development while maintaining adherence to quality systems and schedules.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience and/or coursework preferred.
• 3+ years related experience in related engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

• Design components manufactured from composite and metallic materials.
• Develops mechanical fluid systems to route liquids and gases.
• Integrates hardware into complex, tightly packaged mechanical assemblies.
• Prepares formal, controlled engineering documentation (drawings, specs, BOMs).
• Proficient in CAD to design and document models (Catia, 3DX).
• Applies GD&T and tolerance studies to provide affordable designs.
• Prepares and presents design review material for technical meetings.
• Supports system testing, troubleshooting, and flight testing.
