Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. is seeking an experienced Design Engineer (Mechanical/Structures) to design components from composites and metals, and to integrate hardware into complex assemblies for aerospace applications.

You will prepare controlled documentation and lead design reviews with suppliers and customers. Required BS in Engineering with 15+ years in engineering and 3+ years as lead engineer in aerospace.

Qualificações

• Requires BS degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Aeronautical/Aerospace preferred) or equivalent.
• 15+ years related experience in related engineering.
• 3+ years lead engineer experience in the aerospace industry.

Responsabilidades

• Designs components from composite and metallic materials and integrates hardware into complex assemblies.
• Prepares drawings, specifications, parts lists and interface control documents; proficient in CAD to manufacture aerospace hardware (Catia/3DX).
• Applies GD&T and tolerance studies to provide affordable, practical designs.
• Supports system testing, troubleshooting, and problem resolution; assists flight testing and data analysis.
• Leads engineering projects, manages budget/schedule, and mentors team members.
• Interfaces with suppliers and customers during reviews and project execution.
