Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Senior Principal Cyber Systems Engineer to join our team onsite in Melbourne, FL. This role focuses on System Security Engineering across all lifecycle phases of a system’s development.

The candidate will apply cybersecurity engineering in DoD/NIST/CNSSI/RMF contexts, participate in an Agile development environment, and lead technical initiatives and documentation efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 9 years Cybersecurity experience OR Master’s degree in STEM and 7 years of Cybersecurity experience OR PhD in STEM and 4 years of Cybersecurity experience
• Experience with DoD System Security Engineering activities (security requirements engineering, risk assessment and management, secure architecture design, implementation and verification activities)
• Experience with RMF, development of System Security Plans, Assessment Reports, attack path modeling, and mitigation strategies
• Experience leading junior engineers, IPTs and Suppliers/Subcontractors in design development, implementation and test/verification activities

Responsibilities

• Knowledge and experience using systems security engineering methodologies and techniques
• Requirements development and analysis, including supporting trade studies
• System Architecture development and Modeling
• Prepare technical documents, provide briefings, support ongoing authorization efforts and develop procedures
• Provide SSE duties and technical leadership towards security architecture design solutions
• Interface with other cyber functional areas and management for effective program execution
