Job summary

Aspen Technology, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Principal Solution Consultant in Houston. You will drive APC solutions for process industries, deliver consultative sales support, and help clients transform operations for better efficiency and energy use.

The role requires a strong technical background, 10–15 years in process industries, and excellent communication to win buy-in from middle managers. Travel up to 50% is expected.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (Chemical Engineering desirable).
• 10-15 years of experience in or serving the Process Industries developing and/or supporting Advanced Process Control Applications.
• Intellectual curiosity, drive, grit, resilience, business and technology acumen.
• Strong customer facing skills with experience presenting to middle management.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultative sales support for AspenTech's APC solutions.
• Develop vision and roadmap addressing customer requirements and industry drivers.
• Create and present business cases to secure client investment.
• Support the direct sales force in the sales process.
