Job summary

AspenTech, a global AI-powered software company, is seeking a Principal Solution Consultant in Houston to collaborate with sales teams, lead discovery sessions, and craft visionary solutions for Metals & Mining, Specialty Chemicals, and Pulp & Paper industries.

You will leverage deep industry knowledge and AspenTech's product portfolio to deliver measurable business value, position solutions effectively with senior stakeholders, and drive opportunities to close.

Qualifications

Experience in consultative pre-sales for Metals & Mining, Specialty Chemicals, or Pulp & Paper industries.
Engineering degree preferred.
Deep knowledge of metals & mining and related industries.
Familiarity with AI/ML solutions and their business value.
Ability to bridge technology and business with clear value messaging.
Willingness to travel up to 35%.

Responsibilities

Lead consultative discovery sessions with customers.
Design strategies and tailor solutions to customer needs.
Collaborate with sales teams to articulate the value of AspenTech.
Develop industry-specific messaging for Metals, Specialty Chemicals, and Pulp & Paper.
Present AspenTech solutions at trade shows and events.
Engage senior executives to map the digitalization journey.
Provide market input to Product Management to improve adoption.
Train sales and solution consultants on regional market needs.
