Job summary

ams OSRAM USA Inc. is seeking a senior analog/mixed-signal IC design leader for its Plano, TX hybrid team. You will guide design from concept to production, aligning with packaging, parasitics, power, and cost targets while mentoring engineers and interfacing with customers and marketing.

The role requires expert transistor-level design knowledge (Bandgap, current references, OPAMP, LDO), CAD tool proficiency, and strong communication skills to drive project success in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (or PhD) in Electrical Engineering with emphasis on analog/mixed-signal IC Design.
• 15 years of experience (Master’s) or 12 years (PhD) with leadership in mixed-signal IC design.
• Expert-level transistor-level design knowledge (bandgap references, current references, OPAMP, LDO).
• Experience with CAD tools such as Cadence Virtuoso and SPICE.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of ultra-high performance, low-noise analog solutions from concept to production ramp.
• Perform and supervise detailed design, simulation, verification, and validation of ICs.
• Direct block-level and top-level layout activities to optimize circuit performance.
• Provide system-level packaging, parasitics, power, die size, and cost input.
• Develop SPICE/Spectre testbenches for PVT, Monte Carlo, and mixed-signal modelling.
• Coordinate design requirements and trade-offs in weekly internal/customer meetings.
• Communicate effectively with customers and marketing in design reviews and calls.
• Generate architectural and design documentation and test requirements.
• Mentor and lead team members to ensure schedule adherence.
