Job summary

ams OSRAM's LSP – Light Sensors & Photonics unit seeks an experienced Digital IC Design Engineer to lead architecture, RTL design, and silicon realization of complex digital/mixed-signal subsystems from specification through production.

You will collaborate with system, analog, verification, and physical design teams to define specifications, drive UVM verification, and ensure successful design-to-silicon correlation while presenting architecture and results to customers and internal

Qualifications

• B.Tech/ M.Tech in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, VLSI or related field.
• 5+ years of Digital IC Design with RTL, verification, synthesis, and silicon debug.
• Proficient in Verilog/SystemVerilog and digital design methodologies.
• Experience with UVM-based verification and standard interfaces (I2C, I3C, SPI, UART).
• Familiarity with EDA tools and script languages (Python, Tcl, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, integration, and silicon realization of digital/mixed-signal subsystems from spec to production.
• Translate requirements into RTL architectures and Verilog/SystemVerilog implementations meeting PPA targets.
• Drive design quality and signoff through lint, CDC/RDC, formal verification, synthesis, and timing validation.
• Collaborate with system, analog, verification, and physical design teams to define specs and ensure product success.
• Develop digital control/ interface logic for IPs like ADCs and mixed-signal interfaces.
• Lead silicon bring-up, debugging, and design-to-silicon correlation for first-pass success.
• Serve as customer-facing technical lead for architecture reviews and issue resolution.
• Prepare proposals, effort estimates, and design documentation; drive continuous improvement in methodologies.
