Job summary

ams OSRAM's LSP unit seeks a senior leader in analog/mixed-signal IC design in Plano, TX. You will guide end-to-end development of ultra-high performance, low-noise ICs, from initial concept through production ramp, and mentor teams across the design lifecycle.

You will coordinate with customers, deliver rigorous SPICE/Spectre simulations, optimize layout, and drive innovations while communicating progress in weekly reviews. Hybrid work with three days on-site in Plano.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with 15+ years of experience or PhD with 12+ years in analog/mixed-signal IC design.
• Expert level knowledge of analog/mixed-signal IC design and CAD tools.
• Experience leading design teams and coordinating with customers under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of ultra-high performance, low-noise analog ICs from concept to production ramp.
• Perform and supervise detailed design, simulation, verification and validation of ICs.
• Direct block and top-level layout activities to ensure optimum circuit performance.
• Apply system-level packaging, parasitics, power, die size, cost considerations.
• Create SPICE/Spectre testbenches and run PVT, Monte Carlo, mixed-signal simulations.
• Coordinate design requirements and tradeoffs, prepare for weekly internal/customer meetings.
• Interface with customers and marketing, presenting design reviews and tracking schedules.
• Develop innovative IP concepts and file patents; document design decisions and tests.
