Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Senior Principal Air Vehicle Management Engineer (Level 4) to lead multidisciplinary modifications and ensure technical execution. The role is based at our partner site in Marietta, GA, with potential relocation to Melbourne, FL based on business needs.

The successful candidate will serve as a key member of the Modification Engineering team within Vehicle Engineering, coordinating with Chief Engineers, Program Managers, and customers, while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline with 8+ years of related experience, or Master’s with 6+ years, or Ph.D. with 4+ years.
• Active US Government Secret clearance with potential to obtain Top Secret clearance.
• Ability to obtain Interim Top Secret clearance prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time engineering solutions during aircraft modifications and identify corrective actions for non-conforming parts.
• Coordinate across design, manufacturing, GSC and other disciplines to resolve technical and process issues.
• Manage stakeholder integration by coordinating technical modifications with Chief Engineers, Program Managers, and clients.
• Demonstrate strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Apply subsystems knowledge including electrical, hydraulics, fuels and propulsion.
• Support structural design activities focused on metallic structures.
• Utilize 3D CAD tools to support detailed design tasks.
• Coordinate daily with suppliers and Northrop Grumman teams on project goals.
