Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Senior Principal Air Vehicle Management Engineer (Level 4) to lead engineering efforts for aircraft modifications at a partner site in Marietta, GA, with potential relocation to Melbourne, FL.

The role requires a STEM degree with extensive related experience, active US Government clearance, and strong leadership and collaboration across multiple engineering disciplines. On-site work in Marietta and Melbourne is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 8 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 6 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Ph.D. in a STEM discipline and 4 years of related professional/military experience.
• Active US Government Secret clearance with BI within 6 years or Continuous Evaluation; ability to obtain Top Secret clearance and Interim Top Secret clearance required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain SAP clearance; experience with design CAD tools such as NX, CPLM.
• Experience leading engineering groups and interfacing with employees, management, and customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time engineering solutions during aircraft modifications, including identifying, evaluating, and recommending corrective actions for non-conforming parts.
• Coordinate across design engineering, manufacturing, Global Supply Chain, and other related disciplines to resolve issues.
• Manage stakeholder integration by coordinating technical modifications to baseline configurations with Chief Engineers, Program Managers, and external clients.
• Demonstrate strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
