Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Staff Air Vehicle Management Engineer (Level 5) to lead the Modification Engineering team for aircraft modifications. This IC role is based at Marietta, GA with potential relocation to Melbourne, FL.

You will coordinate across engineering, program management, and customers, manage technical modifications, and ensure effective communication with suppliers, requiring a Top Secret clearance. Strong leadership and CAD proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a STEM degree with extensive related experience or higher degrees with corresponding years.
• Active U.S. government Secret/Top Secret clearance eligibility.
• Experience with design CAD tools (NX/CPLM) and aerospace assembly.
• Leadership in engineering and strong cross-functional communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead modification engineering efforts for aircraft programs.
• Coordinate across design, manufacturing, GSC, and customers.
• Manage stakeholder alignment with Chief Engineers and PMs.
• Demonstrate strong communication, leadership and problem solving.
• Support subsystems knowledge and CAD tooling use.
• Coordinate daily with suppliers and internal teams.
