Job summary

Cloudflare is seeking a Senior Principal, Sales Compensation Design & Strategy to lead the design of Sales Compensation Plans across all customer-facing teams. You will work closely with executives to align compensation with AI-native business models and platform strategy.

The role focuses on governance, pay-for-performance, and leveraging AI to accelerate model development, scenario testing, and payout accuracy across diverse geographies and products.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in Sales Compensation Design in a fast-paced tech company or as a management consultant.
• Fluency with AI tools and AI-augmented workflows; prefer experience building AI-powered internal applications.
• Strong analytical skills to architect metrics for new business models (consumption, AI monetization).
• Exceptional presentation and communication skills with experience influencing C-level executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Sales Compensation Design Process with the Executive Steering Committee, including CRO, CFO, and CPO level stakeholders.
• Drive C-level discussions on compensation philosophy and pay-for-performance outcomes; develop decks and narrative for approvals.
• Architect new metrics that align incentives with Cloudflare’s platform and AI product strategy.
• Create a 3-year roadmap for the Sales Compensation Design function.
