Job summary

IFG Companies is seeking a Senior Underwriter, Primary Casualty to develop and manage a profitable primary casualty book. You will cultivate strong producer relationships to drive quality submissions and profitable growth, applying underwriting guidelines and tools to quote and bind within authority.

The role requires 6+ years of underwriting experience, a bachelor's degree in a related field, and a hybrid work arrangement with at least three days in the office.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of commercial primary casualty underwriting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in insurance, risk management, economics, actuarial science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a profitable primary casualty book by working with wholesale producers.
• Identify and select submissions for quoting using analytics and data scoring.
• Determine pricing, structure and coverage terms within underwriting guidelines.
• Maintain strong communication with producers and promote IFG's product line.
