Job summary

Block is seeking a Senior Analyst on the Pricing & Monetization team in the United States. Reporting to the Deal Desk Lead, you’ll shape how Block prices its largest partnerships, from individual deal structures to portfolio-level targets and guardrails behind them.

You will advise on complex deals, set pricing guardrails, scale the operating model, track market trends in payments, and present clear recommendations to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
• Advanced financial modeling skills, including building P&L and unit economics models from scratch.
• Sound commercial judgment when weighing growth, margin, and risk in a deal.
• Experience building trusted relationships with senior leaders and presenting analysis and recommendations that shape their decisions.
• A track record of owning projects end to end, from framing the question to implementing the decision.
• A habit of building repeatable systems rather than one-off answers, and comfort using AI tools to scale your work.

Responsibilities

• Advise on complex deals: partner cross-functionally to build custom pricing and incentive proposals for brands.
• Set pricing guardrails: design portfolio-level pricing targets and deal-level guardrails that let teams move quickly while protecting margin.
• Scale the operating model: build and refine the processes we use to price and approve large deals across many teams.
• Track the market: analyze pricing trends across Block’s portfolio and the broader payments industry, and turn what you find into recommendations.
• Present to leadership: turn complex models into clear recommendations for senior leaders.
