Block, Inc. in New York, NY is seeking a Senior Analyst on the Pricing & Monetization team to shape pricing for our largest partnerships, from individual deals to portfolio targets. You will collaborate with GTM leaders to design pricing structures that maximize growth and protect margins.

You will build financial models, assess risks, and present recommendations to senior leaders, helping scale pricing processes across multiple teams in a dynamic payments landscape.

Job description

The Role

Square’s Strategic Finance team partners with our go-to-market leaders to make sure our biggest commercial decisions drive both growth and profitability. As a Senior Analyst on our Pricing & Monetization team, reporting to our Deal Desk Lead, you’ll shape how Square prices its largest partnerships, from individual deal structures to the portfolio-level targets and guardrails behind them.

You Will

• Advise on complex deals: partner cross-functionally to build custom pricing and incentive proposals for some of the most exciting brands in the world
• Set pricing guardrails: design portfolio-level pricing targets and deal-level guardrails that let teams move quickly while protecting margin
• Scale the operating model: build and refine the processes we use to price and approve large deals across many teams
• Track the market: analyze pricing trends across Square’s portfolio and the broader payments industry, and turn what you find into recommendations
• Present to leadership: turn complex models into clear recommendations for senior leaders

You Have

• Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience
• Advanced financial modeling skills, including building P&L and unit economics models from scratch
• Sound commercial judgment when weighing growth, margin, and risk in a deal
• Experience building trusted relationships with senior leaders and presenting analysis and recommendations that shape their decisions
• A track record of owning projects end to end, from framing the question to implementing the decision
• A habit of building repeatable systems rather than one-off answers, and comfort using AI tools to scale your work
