Job summary

Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP is seeking a Senior Pricing Analyst to independently execute and support the firm’s pricing strategy. You will partner with lawyers, the Client Development and Engagement team, and other Finance teams to design, implement and track client fee agreements.

The role blends financial analysis, matter budgeting, and partner support, with ownership of pricing processes, tools, and databases, including AI-enabled workflows and data pulls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field.
• 4–6 years of pricing or financial analysis experience in professional services (law firm preferred).
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with AI tools and data-driven pricing practices.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with partners to develop and evaluate fee proposals and AFAs.
• Provide financial modeling and analysis for client negotiations and BD opportunities.
• Draft first-pass fee estimates from precedents within practice areas.
• Support data-driven insights for Finance Committee approvals.
• Prepare reports and dashboards on pricing outcomes and profitability.
