Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking an Experienced Presales Leader in Schaumburg, IL, to guide software and ECH presales initiatives across North America. You will drive change, align with Sales, Product, and Strategy teams, and manage end-to-end presales processes including quotes, SOWs, and configurations.

The role emphasizes building strong stakeholder relationships, P&L awareness, and enterprise tool proficiency, with CJIS background required for security-clearance considerations.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated track record of driving organizational change across cross-functional teams and partner organizations.
• 8+ years of experience in sales enablement, presales management, program management, business development, or customer success with prior supervisory experience.
• Strong ability to build collaborative relationships and influence external stakeholder groups (Sales, Product, Post Sales, Strategy).
• Prior experience in Emergency Call Handling (ECH) or Software (CAD, RMS, etc) is preferred
• A strong operational and change management background is highly preferred.
• Ability to manage complex priorities and optimize resource allocation across direct vs. channel routes to market and product lines.
• Ability to read, analyze, and manage project P&Ls and technical proposal schedules.
• Proficiency in enterprise tools (Salesforce, Oracle-based, MS Office, Google Suite).
• Strong executive presentation, written, and oral communication skills; public safety market familiarity preferred.
• CJIS fingerprint background check requirement for CJIS-security controlled work

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage presales teams supporting the software and ECH sales teams.
• Drive and facilitate organizational change across internal presales teams and partner organizations to streamline workflows.
• Partner with Sales, Sales Management, Product, Post Sales, and Offer/Strategy teams to align on presale strategy and proposals.
• Oversee end-to-end presale quoting, proposal generation, SOWs, and system configuration processes.
• Develop and implement standards, schedules, and best practices for RFPs, configurations, and complex proposals.
• Serve as a primary liaison to Presale Management, Sales Managers, Engineering Managers, and Product Leadership.
• Establish KPIs, resource allocation strategies, and performance metrics across direct and channel teams.
• Assist in development of broader business plans, go-to-market strategies, and opportunities in public safety
