Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Senior Distinguished Technologist to lead architecture and solution design for AI/ML Networking Infrastructure, Data Center, and WAN opportunities globally. This role requires deep technical expertise, creative problem-solving, and strong customer engagement to influence multi-billion-dollar deals.

You will act as a primary architect in complex sales, design end-to-end networking solutions, mentor teams, and develop best practices while traveling up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of technical experience in network infrastructure architecture and design.
• Experience with JunOS, EOS, IOS and hyperscale network architectures; JNCIE or equivalent.
• Hands-on expertise with hyperscale routing, MPLS traffic engineering, EVPN/VXLAN, MP-BGP, Network Fabrics, DCI.
• Familiarity with Juniper, Arista, Cisco, SONiC, Cumulus hardware and software.
• Proven pre-sales success with senior technical and C-Level stakeholders.
• Experience with Python and APIs for solution integration and automation.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%, including international travel.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary technical architect in early sales cycles.
• Architect end-to-end networking solutions for data center, AI networking, and WAN.
• Lead solution design collaborating with specialists, SEs, and product teams.
• Deliver demos, PoCs, and technical presentations.
• Engage with hyperscalers, enterprises, service providers, and partners.
• Influence technical strategy through deal validation and delivery handoff.
• Develop playbooks, enablement collateral, and best practices.
• Mentor junior technologists and sales engineers.
• Track industry trends and maintain thought leadership.
