Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Senior Distinguished Technologist to lead architecture for AI/ML Networking Infrastructure, Data Center, and WAN opportunities globally. This role requires deep technical expertise, creative problem-solving, and strong customer engagement to influence multi-billion-dollar deals.

The position targets experienced technologists with strong pre-sales background and a track record in delivering scalable networking solutions across edge-to-cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field is required; advanced degree preferred.
• 20+ years of technical experience in network infrastructure architecture, design and solutions consulting for large-scale AI and data center environments.
• 20+ years of experience with major networking platforms and architectures (Juniper, Arista, Cisco, SONiC, Cumulus) and certification such as JNCIE or equivalent.
• Experience presenting and driving technology thought leadership at industry events and standards bodies.
• Hands-on expertise with hyperscale routing, SDN overlays (EVPN/VXLAN), and automation/monitoring (NETCONF/REST APIs, YANG).
• Willingness to travel up to 50%, including international travel.

Responsibilities

• Act as a primary technical architect early in complex sales cycles and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Architect end-to-end networking infrastructure for data center, AI networking, hyperscale environments, and WANs.
• Lead solution design and coordinate input from specialists, systems engineers, and product teams to meet customer requirements.
• Deliver demos, proofs-of-concept, and technical presentations that articulate value to customers.
• Engage with hyperscalers, enterprises, service providers, and partners to co-design solutions for emerging challenges.
• Influence technical strategy through deal validation and initial execution.
